Pigafetta 500 domani dall'Arsenale di Venezia comincia l'Avventura.

La partenza del giro del mondo per Ricordare Pigafetta e Magellano è fissata per Sabato 07 Settembre 2013 Ore11:00 / Arsenale di Venezia

Per entrare all’Arsenale, ingresso attraverso la Porta dei Bacini (a nord, verso la laguna, dalle Fondamenta Nuove, Sestiere Castello). Per arrivare conviene prendere il vaporetto “Circolare Ovest” n. 5.2 e fermarsi ai “Bacini” (la fermata è “a richiesta”, avvisare il conducente). Una volta entrati nel bacino seguire l'indicazione ISMAR – CNR – pontile THETIS - Tesa 104. Troverete “ADRIATICA” ormeggiata all’inglese alla banchina.

Con l'occasione e in un concomitante all'evento,  nello stesso luogo,o all'ingresso principale dell'Arsenale  (prima o dopo) spettacolo di Renato De Paoli poeta tradutor di Dante in veneto. recita e prosa del 21^ canto della 1a^ cantica della Commedia Divina di Dante, con la Direttrice del Gruppo "La brigata dell'Estetica" condotto dalla coreografa danzatrice Ghislaine Avan. Dante nel 21° canto narra appunto come è arrivato in Laguna e come è stato circondato dai pescatori - soldati - vedette  veneziani, e come è riuscito a passare  , facendola franca, dal posto più sorvegliato del mondo , l'Arsenale , appunto dove Boieva la Pegola, per  riparare le navi. Quale migliore occasione di celebrazione se non alla partenza di "Adriatica" i "Pigafetta 500".

Da settembre 2013 ad aprile 2015 il veliero Adriatica farà 40 tappe: dall'Europa alle Molucche e ritorno, toccando Sudamerica, Polinesia e Africa del sud. L'equipaggio sarà ampio e soprattutto il viaggio è aperto a tutti (per richieste 'pigafetta500.org/wp500').

La spedizione solcherà tre oceani e si svolgerà in 610 giorni, di cui 350 di navigazione, oltre 38.000 miglia in 20 Stati dei cinque continenti. Tra le traversate più impegnative quelle di Praia (Capo Verde) 900 miglia, e Recife 1.560 miglia. Tra i luoghi più significativi, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Bahia Blanca dove si festeggerà il Capodanno 2014, la Terra del fuoco a Capo Horn e la Patagonia, l'Isola di Pasqua, l'oceano Indiano lungo l'equatore toccando Christmas, Madagascar.

La partecipazione alle diverse tappe è aperta sia a marinai provetti sia a principianti e in alcune tappe ci saranno anche Syusy Blady e Patrizio Roversi testimonial dell'evento e begnamini ( RAI  TV)   del pubblico italiano amante di viaggi , delle scoperte, della storia e delle avventure.
